Blockchain enters marriage protection: Taiwan Tech Students Develop Smart Prenuptial Agreement Platform.

Using technology to safeguard love and commitment, blockchain is entering the field of marital agreements, ensuring that relationships no longer rely solely on trust. Led by students from Taiwan Tech, the team “Baby No Worries” launched the blockchain smart contract platform “LoveChain Protection”, aiming to provide couples with a fair, transparent, and legally enforceable property agreement mechanism.

“LoveChain Protection” is a smart contract service platform designed specifically for the division of couples’ property rights. Even users without a technical background can easily operate it through a graphical interface, setting up and signing agreements on the blockchain without dealing with complex code. The platform emphasizes “pain-free usage” ,allowing both parties to reach consensus while avoiding cumbersome legal procedures.

The “Baby No Worries” team was founded in March 2025. The initial members included Taiwan Tech second-year student from Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering Yu-Ching Wang, third-year student from Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering Chun-An Yang, third-year student from Department of Finance at National Taipei University of Business Hao-hsuan Wang, credit program student from Taiwan Tech Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering Ting-Yin Lin and a student from Department of Design Shu-Han Yeh. The team combines cross-university and cross-disciplinary collaboration, with members bringing diverse expertise in technology, finance, and design, making platform development and market strategy more integrated and effective.

In 2025, the team won first place in the “Digital Finance New Blueprint: Web3 and Generative AI Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.”

CEO Yu-Ching Wang, who won an award in the 2024 “GiCS Search for Female Cybersecurity Leaders” competition and has long been focused on information security and social issues, noted that societal attitudes toward prenuptial agreements remain generally cautious. She pointed out that traditional agreements rely heavily on paper and the conventional judicial system, which makes dispute resolution lengthy, costly, and cumbersome. She believes that digital and smart solutions can significantly improve the efficiency of agreement execution and increase trust between parties.

The platform leverages blockchain features - decentralization, immutability, high transparency, and automated execution - to ensure the absolute validity and integrity of each contract. Custom-designed smart contracts embed dynamic fulfillment guarantees at the moment of signing, digitizing pre-agreed rights and protections into the contract logic. In case of disputes, the system activates a “community arbitration mechanism,” where vetted arbiters make a judgment, and the outcome is automatically enforced, ensuring efficiency, fairness, and minimal human interference or execution risk.

CTO Chun-An Yang added that contracts on the “LoveChain Protection” platform require signing a legally binding “Arbitration Agreement Clause” and uploading it to a decentralized file system (IPFS). The file’s hash is recorded on-chain for verification. This design not only prevents tampering but also provides legally traceable evidence, offering strong protection for both parties.

Currently, “LoveChain Protection” is still in the development and market testing stage. The team actively participates in multiple startup competitions to gather feedback and optimize features, having won first place in the 2025 “Digital Finance New Blueprint: Web3 and Generative AI Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.” Yu-Ching Wang acknowledged that potential users need a certain level of technology acceptance, so the initial target group is digitally literate young couples who value prenuptial property protection.

She emphasized that the platform is not only for resolving asset disputes during conflicts but also aims to foster trust and stable relationships through honest pre-agreement communication and digital contract mechanisms. The platform seeks to provide an extra layer of security for love and commitment, encouraging more couples to enter marriage with confidence, ultimately contributing to a more stable and healthy social structure.

By using technology to innovate emotional and relational governance, “LoveChain Protection” not only opens a new frontier for blockchain applications but also reflects the younger generation’s fresh interpretation of marital values and digital governance.
