Taiwan Tech Startup Myogai uses AI to revolutionize self-guided yoga.

The Business Incubation Center at Taiwan Tech has long been dedicated to fostering student innovation and entrepreneurship, achieving remarkable results. Among its standout successes is the international startup team Myogai, which has developed an AI-powered online yoga platform. Recently, Myogai has won several innovation and entrepreneurship awards, emerging as a rising star in the startup scene. The Taiwan-based team includes Dale Neal, a fourth-year Ph.D. student in Department of Information Management from Belize; Andres Britez, a fourth-year MBA student from Paraguay; Valer Vanco, an MBA graduate from Slovakia; and Luis Manzanero, also from Belize, who has worked in Taiwan for nearly five years.

Myogai is the world’s first platform to integrate AI with yoga instruction. By utilizing real-time image recognition and data model training, the platform allows users to receive instant, precise feedback and guidance simply by turning on their camera during practice. This technology not only enhances the efficiency of practitioners but also improves the teaching quality of yoga instructors, marking a breakthrough in online yoga education.

The initial inspiration for the Myogai team came from Dale Neal, a Belizean member, who recalled that the idea first emerged while preparing for a robotics competition, where he developed technology to track human movement. This concept gradually evolved into an AI platform focused on optimizing yoga poses. The team added that their early interface was built using Google’s open-source tools, which they further developed and refined through programming.

The team agrees that Taiwan Tech's Business Incubation Center has played a pivotal role in their development. From legal assistance for company registration and strategic guidance for competitions to connecting with industry networks and the startup ecosystem, Taiwan Tech has provided a strong foundation. Dale remarked, “Without the university’s support, it would have been difficult for us to get to where we are today.”

Beyond technical and resource support, the team’s internal culture of collaboration has also been a key to their success. Dale emphasized that communication and mutual respect are the most important elements in teamwork. “Everyone focuses on their area of responsibility, and we maintain openness and rationality during discussions. That’s the secret to our smooth team operation,” he said.

Since its founding, Myogai has earned multiple accolades, including the Silver Award at the Ministry of Economic Affairs' 2025 Smart Innovation Competition, selection as a finalist in the 2024 Taiwan Tech Youth Startup Star program, and recognition as an outstanding team in the 2022 Global Talent Entrepreneurship Program (GTEP) co-hosted by Taiwan Tech and alumni enterprises. Valer Vanco from Slovakia emphasized that the key to success in competitions lies in clearly understanding “what you're doing” and identifying “what captures the judges’ attention”. He noted that each competition has its core focus, so it's crucial to strategically highlight the product's strengths and the team's uniqueness, while delivering presentations with confidence.

Currently, Myogai is a free-to-use platform that allows users to access features upon registering an account. Future versions will include more yoga pose sequences and explore partnerships with yoga alliances in Taiwan and abroad, aiming to upgrade the platform through a micro-subscription model. Andres Britez from Paraguay shared, “Every time we exhibit or enter business talks, we proudly say - We are an international startup from Taiwan.”
