Taiwan Tech and Radio Taiwan Intl signed MOU to enhance students' global outlook and cross-disciplinary skills.
To promote diverse collaboration in digital learning, AI technology applications, and communication technology, Taiwan Tech signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Radio Taiwan Intl today (11th). The collaboration will cover various areas, including industry-academia faculty exchanges, student company visits/internships, online and in-person courses, workshops, and forums, deepening the connection between academia and the media industry.

Taiwan Tech President Jia-Yush Yen stated during the signing ceremony that with the development of technology and industrial transformation, students need not only the essential academic and technical skills but also a strengthened liberal arts education and international perspective, enabling them to better adapt to the rapidly changing world. He pointed out that while Taiwan Tech students possess solid practical and technological application skills, there is still room for improvement in responding to international trends and engaging in cross-disciplinary communication. Therefore, through Radio Taiwan Intl's professional resources and international talent exchange, forums and lectures will play an important role in fostering students' comprehensive competencies.

Rui-Chang Zhang, Director-General of Radio Taiwan Intl, stated that Radio Taiwan Intl is the first Chinese-language news media in the world to receive the JTI (Journalism Trust Initiative) certification and is also actively collaborating with academia. Taiwan Tech is the eighth university with which Radio Taiwan Intl has signed a Memorandum of Understanding. He humorously described, “Although Taiwan Tecj is the eighth university to sign the agreement, it’s like the “Eight Great Sects Gathering at Mount Guangming”, and Taiwan Tech is undoubtedly the “Shaolin Temple” among them”. He further pointed out that Radio Taiwan Intl has foreign-language hosts from around the world, and these international talents are expected to provide Taiwan Tech students with valuable opportunities to broaden their global perspective. He also looks forward to Taiwan tech fully utilizing CNR’s resources to help students gain practical knowledge in news communication and technological applications, driving more opportunities for innovation.

This demonstrates the students' strong interest in international news and global affairs. She also hopes that future collaboration with Radio Taiwan Intl will further expand students’ global perspectives, offering more diverse and practical learning opportunities, from visits to forums.
Taiwan Tech has many international students from around the world, including Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia, Vietnam, and Malaysia. Radio Taiwan Intl currently serves Southeast Asian international students, new immigrants, and migrant workers in Taiwan with broadcasts in seven languages: Indonesian, Thai, Vietnamese, Khmer, Burmese, Malay, and Filipino. This service helps them understand Taiwan's information, strengthening their knowledge of politics, society, and economics, allowing them to adapt more quickly to life in Taiwan while ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of information to promote cross-cultural communication.

Radio Taiwan Intl currently serves Southeast Asian international students, new immigrants, and migrant workers in Taiwan with broadcasts in seven languages: Indonesian, Thai, Vietnamese, Khmer, Burmese, Malay, and Filipino, helping them adapt more quickly to the learning and living environment in Taiwan.
