Taiwan Tech rises 8 Spots in 2025 QS Asia University Rankings, ranked 66th in Asia, 5th in Taiwan and 1st in technical and vocational schools.

The UK-based higher education research organization QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) released the 2025 QS Asia University Rankings on November 6, where Taiwan Tech showed impressive performance. The university climbed to 66th place in Asia, an improvement of 8 spots from last year, ranking 5th in Taiwan and 1st in technical and vocational education.

In the “International Students” category, Taiwan Tech ranked 2nd in Taiwan and 70th in Asia, just behind National Taiwan University. The university also saw a rise in the “International Faculty” category, moving from 7th to 4th in Taiwan, reflecting significant progress in internationalizing its faculty. Taiwan Tech ranked 5th in Taiwan for “Inbound Exchange”, highlighting its strong appeal to international students.

Additionally, Taiwan Tech placed 6th in Taiwan in terms of “Academic Reputation”, “Employer Reputation”, “Number of Citations” and “Faculty-to-Student Ratio” Both “Academic Reputation” and “Employer Reputation’ ranked in the top 80 universities in Asia, expanding the university’s academic and employment influence.

This year, a total of 984 universities from 25 countries and regions across Asia were included in the rankings. Taiwan had 8 universities in the top 100 in Asia, ranked as follows: National Taiwan University (tied 26th), National Tsing Hua University (39th), National Cheng Kung University (41st), National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (42nd), Taiwan Tech (66th), National Taiwan Normal University (tied 79th), Sun Yat-sen University (83rd), and National Taipei University of Technology (91st).
